Gustavo De Cillo
DVM, Owner
Born in Brazil, Gustavo grew up training his family’s Quarter horses and dreamed the American dream of owning his own business. Gustavo worked hard and graduated from Universidade de Marilia- SP Brazil in 1998 with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). He completed his equine surgery residency at UNESP, Botucatu, in Brazil, before moving to the USA in 2001 to complete a 2-year internship at the Brazos Valley Equine Hospital in Navasota, TX. After completing the intense, hands-on internship, he traveled back to Brazil and opened De Cillo Equine Sports Medicine. In 2006 he made the life-changing decision to close his practice and train to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in the United States. After completing his needed education, he joined Dr. Andrew Currie at Currie Equine Clinic in 2009. During this time, he also had two beautiful children, Gianluca and Isabella, and gained his U.S. citizenship. In 2016 Dr. De Cillo purchased Currie Equine Clinic and achieved his American dream. In his practice, he is passionate about sports medicine, treating lameness, and performing surgery. In 2019, Dr. De Cillo married Beatriz, who shares his zeal for veterinary practice, as well as good music, good wine, and good food!
Beatriz De Cillo
Breeding Manager
Originally from Brazil, Beatriz started taking jumping lessons at 13 and fell in love with horses. She rode horses until entering vet school. She graduated from Centro Universitario de Espirito Santo do Pinhal, UNIPINHAL, in 2014. Following graduation, she came to the USA to do a 3-month externship at Currie Equine Clinic, where she met Gustavo De Cillo. In 2016, she started her 2-year internship at De Cillo Equine Clinic. Beatriz is passionate about reproduction and today she is our Breeding Manager. In 2019, she married Gustavo and moved permanently to the USA. Today, outside of work, she enjoys riding her mare and is back competing as an eventer rider.
Chandler Bradford
DVM
Chandler fell in love with equine medicine after working closely with her hometown veterinarian to keep her horse healthy and sound during high school. She received her B.S. in biomedical sciences at Texas A&M University, she continued her stay in College Station to complete her veterinary degree in 2021. Following graduation, she completed an internship at Brock Veterinary Clinic where she was exposed to a diverse case load of sports medicine and surgery. Chandler joined our team as an associate veterinarian in June of 2022. Originally from Brenham, she is excited to be back in the area. She enjoys internal medicine and sports medicine. Outside of work, she likes to spend time riding cutting horses, traveling and working on projects with her husband.
Bruna Donatelli
DVM
Dr. Bruna Donatelli developed her passion for horses early in life while riding and competing in equitation and show jumping. Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, she earned her veterinary degree from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi in 2015.
After graduation, Dr. Donatelli moved to Texas to complete an equine internship at Weems & Stephens Equine Hospital in Aubrey. She later returned to Brazil, where she worked with high-performance show jumping and dressage horses, gaining valuable experience in the care and management of equine athletes. She subsequently returned to Texas to continue her career in equine practice while completing the requirements for veterinary licensure in the United States. Dr. Donatelli later pursued advanced training through a fellowship in equine internal medicine at Equine Sports Medicine & Surgery (ESMS) in Weatherford.
Dr. Donatelli’s clinical interests include equine neonatology, reproduction, and sports medicine, with particular focus on the care and management of performance horses. She is fluent in Portuguese and English. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys riding her horse and spending time with her husband and dog.
